A keepsake chest, kept by one family
M'hammed Ennabil began with crates: teapots, tagines and baskets carried to Montréal restaurants and grocers who wanted the real thing and could not source it. The house was wholesale before it was anything else.
It is now run by his children — the second generation — together with their mother. The van routes are the same. The workshops are largely the same. What has changed is that you can now open the chest from home.
The first crates. Restaurants and grocers order teapots and tagines by the case.
OVO, our own skincare label, joins the house. Formulated and bottled by TUYYA.
Markets across Québec and Ontario; corporate gifting follows the same routes.
The second generation takes the house direct to the home, piece by piece.
Three rules, unchanged
Fès for silver-plated brass, Marrakech for palm leaf and leather, Essaouira for thuya root, Salé and Oued Laou for unglazed clay, the Souss valley for argan.
Restaurants and grocers since the first year, markets and hotels since 2014, and — most recently — the home. Wholesale still sets the volumes.
The stock lives in Montréal. Trade visits by appointment; antiques are shown first to whoever asks first.
